Getting Away

I saw this in the Post on Friday and had to laugh. When I reserved our tent site a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that there were only about 7-9 available spots out of 210 sites in our camping area. Crazy - huh? Luckily it was pouring rain in DC all day Thursday and Friday - and some of those people never showed up. It didn't rain on us once though and it was a beautiful sunny day on Saturday.

A few pictures from our camping trip this weekend.

We only stayed on night, but it was worth it. We had a deer come right into our camp twice.

We went hiking to Rose River Falls (the water was freezing I am told).

Sorry I haven't posted anything recently. I do have some good stuff to post, but you will have to wait for it. This picture is part of a series I have yet to finish, and I just love the quality of the light.
