Around the Lake

Driving around the lake.
Wish I could have spent hours taking pictures with the fog coming off the water like that.
It was so beautiful to my eyes
(these were all taken in the car while driving - actually I was the passenger)

Made by Hand

Lariat basket and lariat vase - handmade in Wyoming.
The clock is made out of a spur and horseshoes.
The lamps are simply gorgeous made from logs of pine.
All of these are handmade by my father. The most talented man I know.
If you are interested in purchasing any of these items, please contact me.

Wyoming Adventures

So I spent some time in the most beautiful place on earth - my hometown.
Gorgeous, isn't it? It was as cold as it looks.
Saw the trumpeter swans up close flying off the river.
If you are wondering - the great horned owl is not alive.
We found him frozen in the snow with his wing out, a pretty bird though.

Lesson about Life

An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life.

“A fight is going on inside me,” he told the young boy, “a terrible fight between two wolves. One is evil, full of anger, sorrow, regret, greed, self-pity and false pride. The other is good, full of joy, peace, love, humility, kindness and faith.”

“This same fight is going on inside of you, grandson…and inside of every other person on this earth.”

The grandson ponders this for a moment and then asks, “Grandfather, which wolf will win?”
The old man smiled and simply said,

“The one you feed.”

I read this today from a link on this blog (I simply love her photography), which led to a link in this blog.

Nunez Family - Star Valley, WY Family Pictures

-7 degrees. For Real.
This was my coldest shoot ever.
I keep saying I have met some really amazing people this past year,
and this family is no exception. This family were all so nice and so gorgeous, I could
have claimed these cute kids as my own nieces and nephews.
Next time we take pictures - we should plan for the warmer months!
Happy New Year!
