Sarah & Sean's wedding from last weekend was at the Constitution Hall in DC. Such a beautiful location. Unfortunately the day was extremely humid and so hot, which created a nice lighting and thunder storm in the evening, moving the dancing inside. It was a beautiful wedding.

Sailing

A few pictures from our sailing trip in the Chesapeake Bay. It was so nice ... after three years I have finally accomplished my goal to go sailing. And yes--it was every bit as great as I had anticipated.

My Visitors

My two brothers and my sister-in-law came for a visit this past weekend, and lucky for them it wasn't too hot and humid. We saw the monuments, visited a few museums, drove to Gettysburg, had Rita's Italian Ice, and more. It was very fun for me to have them out here!

This is my brother and my sister-in-law. They are a pretty good looking couple, aren't they? We took a couple of pictures when they were out here visiting me this week.

Hot, Hot, Hot and Humid

HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING.

A heat advisory remains in effect from Noon today to 8pm this evening. Forecast High temperatures today between 95 and 100 degrees in combination with a humid air mass will yield Heat Index Values between 105 and 110 degrees this afternoon. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids ... stay in air-conditioned room ... stay out of sun ... and check up on relatives and neighbors ....

And THAT is the forecast for the wedding I have today. It will be at the DC temple around 2pm--hot, hot, hot and humid. I am hoping for a breeze and some partly cloudy skies to ease the heat.

Phantom

Yesterday two of my friends and I treated ourselves to a night out. We saw Phantom of the Opera, and it was really good. I am always amazed to see these kind of productions. The talent is really quite phenomenal, from their voices to their acting, the special effects they create visually, the orchestra ... I love it. I love to see such talented people doing what they love to do.
