Washington, VA

Some of the shots I captured before last Saturday's wedding. These are taken in Washington, VA which is about an hour and a half from where I live, it is closer to the mountains (which is always a welcome sight-I do miss the mountains, a lot). The fog was so dense in some areas you couldn't see anything, and then it started to burn off and revealed amazing scenery. I was loving every second of it, trying to soak it all in. I missed the best part of the rainbow in the last picture, guess I can't be everywhere at once, though I try. And those geese are extremely protective. This is when they were charging me, needless to say I didn't make it down to the water until they were being fed and were distracted.

Sneak Peak 10.27.07

One image from my wedding on Saturday. It has been raining all week and yet this turned out to be the most beautiful day, complete with thick morning fog, a rainbow, beautiful blue sky, and of course the most beautiful fall colors in the mountains of Virginia.

DC - Let it Rain

With the rain storms, there are some amazing clouds. I was in DC shooting a family group and I had to wait for the HOV to open up so I could drive back. While I was waiting I was greeted by the most amazing sunset. It was beautiful. I was completely soaked through by the end, but I think it was worth it. Cumberland, MD

Glimpses from our window

This past weekend I went with a couple of friends for an evening ride on a steam engine train through the fall colors in the hills of Maryland. It was gorgeous! The perfect time of year for such a variety of colors absolutely covering the mountains. It was such a beautiful day. (sigh) I love Fall.

Retreat-Catoctin Mountains

This past weekend I went camping with a group of about 120. It was nice. But not like real camping, though, because we stayed in cabins. We awoke early to go for a nature walk. It took us an extremely short distance up a small hill for a beautiful view of the little valley below, it was beautiful and refreshing to be out in such beauty as the sun is rising. There are few things I love more than being in nature at sunrise. I love it, I did not take many pictures but I did soak it all in.

Those Days

Somedays I really wish things were like they
used to be two and half years ago.
Enough said.

Fall Visitors

A couple of my good friends came out for a visit and we saw the monuments and musuems in DC. We also drove up to Gettysbug and visited there. All around I thought it was a great time. They were so much fun to be with, and treated me way too good. I have posted a few of my favorites from their trip.
